Blanchelle’s journey with our VerTek 2400 vertical form/fill/seal (VFFS) bagging machine is a testament to the transformation it brought to their operation.

To meet the rigorous demands of the healthcare sector, the company operates both of its plants on a one-shift, six-day-a-week schedule to ensure that they can efficiently clean and sanitize close to a staggering one million pounds of bedding and linen every day, across both of their locations!

The VerTek 2400 is a robust and reliable piece of equipment, serving multiple industries that require bulk packaging into large bags. It operates at impressive speeds, producing four to six bags per minute, using clear plastic film. Each 2.7-kilogram bag contains approximately 100 cloths. Ferron emphasized the significant improvement in labor productivity, reducing the workforce needed for this task from 12 people to just 3 – making the process more efficient. This ensured the Masouche plant had a highly reliable and efficient packaging solution for their facecloths.

Ferron appreciates being at the forefront of new technologies and processes that enhance their services. He expressed satisfaction with the VerTek 2400 machine’s reliability and performance and praised Paxiom’s technical and training support. In fact, Ferron is considering installing another VerTek 2400 at their other Montreal location, as it outperforms their older bagging machinery in almost every aspect.
